My name is Sonia Carter I am a candidate for El Centro City Council in the upcoming election scheduled for November 3, 2020.

First, I am lifelong El Centro who wants to give back.  I am a mother, a daughter, voluteer is an important part of my life.   I have served on the school site council.  Parent Teacher Organization President, and church youth director.  I am a member of CSEA and volunteer for commmunity homeless programs.

Second, I've worked for the El Centro Elementary School District as Computer Lab Supervisor for more than 22 years.  I believe our council should represent all of community and reflecct it social, economic and cultural diversity.  I also want to bring the valuesI learened from my family.  My mother was a school teacher and my father was an army veteran.  They mother was a school teacher and my father was an army veteran.  They taught me the important of hard work and service.  I have learned what people working together can do to make a difference for everyone.  I can bring that experience to the council.  

 

Also, As your city council member, I will work for you.  I will be there to listen and support the community.  Safety, transparency, and community outreach will be my priorities.  My vision for the future of our city is one of inclusion, I am asking for your vote.  Together we can make a difference.

Finally, during the campaign there are various ways your can support both personally and financially.  Any financial contributions is welcome.  With your help and your vote this will enable me to be successful in the campaign.
